Mykonos island

Famous for vibrant nightlife and beach parties, Mykonos is known also for its amazing sandy beaches that offer wonderful swims in crystal-clear waters.

The southern strips of Mykonos are the most popular (Platys Gialos, Psarou, Super Paradise, Elia, Paraga, Agrari, Ornos, Paradise, Kalo Livadi, Kalafatis), while the northern are more remote and quiet (Panormos, Agios Sostis, Ftelia, Mersini). Those with seafront hotels attract families, and many are nudist-friendly.

Mykonos, also known as “The Island of the Winds” due to the very strong winds that usually blow on the island, is part of the Cyclades, lying between Tinos, Syros, Paros and Naxos. The island’s area is 85.5 sq km (33.0 sq mi).
