City of Nafplio

Nafplio is a seaport town in the Peloponnese in the regional unit of Argolis. The city has expanded up the hillsides near the north end of the Argolic Gulf.

Sparta-The land of Leonidas
Given its military pre-eminence, Sparta was recognized as the leading force of the unified Greek military during the Greco-Persian Wars, in rivalry with the rising naval power of Athens. Sparta was the principal enemy of Athens during the Peloponnesian War (between 431 and 404 BC), from which it emerged victorious.

[Worth visiting the most interesting ‘Olive Oil Museum’ and taste the authentic ‘Greek gold’, as Sparta area produces one of the finest qualities.]
Fortress of Monemvasia

Joined to the mainland with a narrow strip of land, the small rock island of Monemvasia allows visitors through “moni emvassi”, the one and only entrance -from which the town of Monemvassia derived its name.

Archaeological site of Mycenae

Mycenae is an archaeological site near Mykines in Argolis, north-eastern Peloponnese, Greece. It is located about 48 kilometers (30 miles) south of Corinth, built upon a hill rising 900 feet (274 meters) above sea level. A famous archaeological find at Mycenae, The Mask of Agamemnon, displayed in the National Archaeological Museum of Athens, has been described by Cathy Gere as the “Mona Lisa of prehistory”.

Archaeological site of Epidavros
Epidaurus is the most important ancient place of worship of the god Asclepius. It is located in the area of the current city of Ligourio in the Peloponnese in the region of Argolida, about 30 km from the city of Nafplio, 20 km from Nea Epidavros and about 13 km from Old Epidavros. It has been a UNESCO World Heritage Site since 1988.
