Kipina Monastery - Pramanta - Syrako - Kalarytes
Gathering at 09.00am and departure.
Our first stop is the bridge of Plaka, the largest single-arched stone bridge in Greece, with an opening arch of 40 meters and a height of about 20 meters. Then we will visit Pramanta, an amphitheatrically built settlement at an altitude of 840m. at the foot of Strogoula, perhaps the most imposing peak of the Tzoumerka mountain range. Three kilometers from Pramanta, west of Strogoula we will be guided to the cave "Anemotrypa". Uniquely sculpted colored stalagmites and three ponds in shades of gray, brass and white, compose a dreamy environment.
We continue to the Holy Monastery of Kipina, an impressive construction inside a rock and the Kalarytes, a picturesque village in the Athamanika Mountains (Tzoumerka) at an altitude of 1200m above the Kalarytikos river. We will visit the Museum of Silversmithing and enjoy local pastries in the village square!
The imposing Syrrako, built on a slope of Mount Lakmos, is next in line. We will pass by the Goura spring, the house of Kostas Krystallis, the church of Agios Nikolaos to end up eating in one of the traditional taverns with the delicious local flavors!
Late afternoon departure full of beautiful images and smells!
